QUALIFICATIONS & BENEFITS
Course Structure: How the 6-Day Programme Works
Our VTCT Level 4 Micropigmentation Course combines classroom-based theory, practical training, independent case studies, tutor support and formal VTCT assessments.
The complete qualification process usually takes approximately 6 to 8 weeks, depending on your commitment to self-study, completion of your coursework and submission of the required case-study evidence.
Day 1: Classroom Theory and Kit Induction
Your first day will consist of classroom-based theory training. You will receive your professional kit and course materials, and your tutor will introduce you to the essential knowledge required to perform micropigmentation treatments safely and professionally.
Topics will include health and safety, client consultation, contraindications, skin anatomy, colour theory, pigment selection, brow mapping, equipment setup and the safe use of your PMU machine.
Day 2: Practical Brow Training on Live Models
Day 2 will focus on practical brow treatments.
You will apply the knowledge and techniques covered during Day 1 by working on live models under the guidance and supervision of your tutor. Practical model sessions will take place during both the morning and afternoon.
All training models will be provided by LVC.
Independent Portfolio and Case Studies
After your initial practical training, you will be expected to complete a portfolio of work with supporting evidence for a minimum of 4 case studies.
Your portfolio must demonstrate your practical skills, treatment planning, client consultation, before-and-after results and understanding of safe working practices.
Your professional kit will be provided so that you can complete the required case studies outside the classroom.
Day 3: Tutor Support and Internal Assessment
You will be invited back to the college for a dedicated support and assessment day.
During this session, your tutor will:
You may be asked to make corrections or provide additional evidence before progressing to the official VTCT assessment.
Days 4 and 5: Official VTCT Practical Assessments
Days 4 and 5 will consist of your official VTCT practical assessments.
You will complete practical examinations during the morning and afternoon sessions while demonstrating the professional standards, technical skills and knowledge required for the qualification.
Before attending these assessment days, you must have:
Day 6: Final MCQ Examination
On Day 6, you will complete your final mcq examination.
This assessment will test your understanding of the theoretical knowledge covered throughout the course, including health and safety, treatment procedures, client care and professional working practices.
Completing Your Qualification
Once you have successfully completed all classroom training, practical work, case studies, workbooks and VTCT assessments, you will be eligible to receive your VTCT Level 4 Qualification in Micropigmentation.
The full process normally takes approximately 6 to 8 weeks, although the exact completion time will depend on how quickly you complete your self-study, portfolio and assessment requirements.
